Pumpkin Painting project
In order to provide the opportunity for all children to have their creative talents recognized, the Gifted and Talented Program at Rose Bud Elementary School is sponsoring its 7th annual Pumpkin Painting Project. All students in kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to decoratively paint a pumpkin according to any theme. (Please NO CARVED pumpkins as they rot quickly!) Prizes will be awarded as follows: to the most original design in each grade level, the pumpkin that shows the best effort by the student, and the overall best pumpkin.
This year's contest was a GREAT SUCCESS!! Our previous record for entered pumpkins was 127 pumpkins and that was in 2011. This year, we had total of 141 pumpkins entered in the contest! WOW!! Great job Rose Bud Elementary Students!!

The 6th grade winning pumpkin was a salamander. 5th grade was a fall tree painted on several pumpkins. The 4th grade winning pumpkin was a peacock. An alligator was the 3rd grade winner and the 3 little pigs with the big bad wolf was the 2nd grade winner. The first grade winning pumpkin was a robot with light up eyes and the kindergarten winner was an elephant. The best effort winner went to the Fly Guy pumpkin.
